Terms of Service


Please send all orders to

All communications and confirmations related to an order must be made in writing by fax or email. We will not be responsible for orders that are faxed or emailed but not received. If no reply is received, presume Artmetal did not receive your order and please contact us.

We are not responsible for errors as a result of handwritten purchase orders or ad copy. Phone orders are not accepted at any time for new or repeat orders. Email:


Order Acknowledgement & Confirmation is sent for all orders. We suggest that you read this very carefully for errors in pricing, shipping dates, shipping addresses, items, imprint colours, etc. Any error not corrected after this document is sent will not be our responsibility.

Orders will not proceed to the Art Department until the Order Acknowledgement & Confirmation form is returned with an authorized signature on the second page. Orders will not proceed from the Art Department to Production until the Preproduction Proof is approved in writing.


Production time will begin the day AFTER PREPRODUCTION PROOF APPROVAL and NOT when the order is received. 15 Working Days is our standard production time from start of production to ship date. This does not include ship time. Any orders with an event date less than the standard production time will be charged a “Rush” charge. For our Econo product orders, regular production time is 3 -4 weeks. Rush service is not available for this item.

We are not liable for non-fulfillment due to statutory holidays, strikes, fires, weather or other causes beyond our control. We are not liable or responsible for consequential or special damages due to any delay.


Please check availability with factory before placing any rush order. Rush orders are accepted only if production schedule allows and stock is available. Manufacturer is not responsible for freight charges incurred on Rush Orders.

The rush charge begins at $31.25 (G) and increases depending on order quantity, item, availability, and complexity. Contact us for a quotation.

Rush Service DOES NOT include rush delivery service. We strongly recommend “OVERNIGHT” shipping for all RUSH orders.


Must be clearly outlined on your purchase order. Indicate when you want the product shipped and the “In-Hands” or “Event Date”. If the requested in-hands date is sooner than our standard production time, rush charges will occur.


Artmetal can provide upon request one virtual proof of the product free of charge prior to the placement of the order. These proofs are limited to simple placement of provided graphics onto the product shape/dieline. Mockups requiring Artmetal to provide design services will be subject to charges of $60(net) per hour.


It is the policy of Artmetal to send the first artwork proof at no charge. Any further proofs needed will be charged an additional $12.50(G). It is your responsibility to approve the paper proof in a timely manner. Production does not start until the proof is approved. Approved/signed proofs must be received by fax or e-mail; PHONE APPROVALS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. You, our client, are responsible for any and all errors that may have been overlooked on a proof signed by a representative of your company. Please check ALL details on the preproduction proof thoroughly.


We reserve the right to offer special promotions on specific product categories that may reflect a lower price. These promotions will be for specific time periods. After the expiration date, special prices will no longer be honoured. All of our catalog prices are “Suggested Retail”. You may, as a distributor, lower or increase these prices as the market allows. We must receive our Net Prices. All pricing is subject to change without notice. If you are uncertain, please contact our customer care specialist at

We will charge a $43.75(G) Penalty for any returned check (NSF) or Credit Card Charge Backs. Visa & MasterCard only are accepted.

Please note that any over/under runs will be charged/credited to a maximum of 10% of the order.

Artmetal reserves the right to share your credit information with fellow suppliers, this information will be used to determine credit terms. No personal information, credit card numbers, etc will be shared.

Customers without established terms are prepaid prior to shipping of their orders, which will be held until payment is received. No exceptions.

Credit cards will not be accepted on orders over $2500. No exception including deposits.

Deposits of 50% is required for all orders over $2500 and as well as overseas order and custom quoted projects. Balance is due before shipping.

We are not liable or responsible for delays arising from payment issues.

Payment where credit card is not accept must be sent via courier or through direct deposit, wire transfer or e-transfer.

Delinquent account over 15 days will have their terms reviewed and may result in lose of their terms.

Customer with terms who are above their credit limit will have their orders held until payment is recieved.


If you wish to have your order shipped to multiple locations, there is a drop shipment fee of $15(G) per location. We are happy to ship under third party accounts, but a $10(G) fee per shipment will be applied.

Prices quoted are F.O.B. our plant in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and are subject to all applicable taxes. If you wish to use a specific courier, please include the applicable courier account number as well as the service level. If a specific shipping method has not been requested, we will select the most appropriate shipping method based on weight destination, and time available.

Shipments will not be insured unless advised otherwise. We accept no responsibility for damaged, lost, or late shipments once goods have left our plant. Please contact the courier company directly to make a claim. All claims for delayed delivery must be filed with the courier company only.

Your invoice will be prepared immediately upon shipment and will be faxed or emailed to you. We will supply tracking numbers on request; it is your responsibility to track and trace.


Collected email address will automatically be added to eblast list, you hearby grant Artmetal permission to send communications with said email address regarding specials, promotions, general and important information. If you wish to not receive our emails, please opt out of the service on our eblasts.


Custom die charges for Magnets, Softee & Leather products begin at $250 (G). Prices for custom dies for Air Fresheners begin at $450 (G). These prices vary dramatically due to the complexity of sizes and shapes, and must be quoted on an individual basis. All custom dies and molds become the property of Artmetal and not owned by the company who requested the die. However, repeat orders using this dieline will not be subject to a custom die charge as it has already been manufactured.


There is no charge on most items but we usually limit the number of free samples to 3 pieces. We may charge for samples depending on the value of the item. We send all samples via REGULAR MAIL, you want samples sent by UPS (for USA), please provide us with the UPS account number and Federal Tax Identification Number (FTI), OR Social Security Number (SSN) as this is a requirement of Homeland Security. If you want samples sent by Purolator (for Canada), please provide your Purolator account number.


Pre-production samples plus setup charges and custom die charges (if applicable) must be quoted on an individual basis.

Production quality depends on the artwork provided with your order. We may make recommendations for improvement, and may make minor modifications to improve print quality. It is up to you/your client to inspect all aspects of the proof.

If artwork needs to be “created’, ‘touched up’, or ‘redone’ there will be a charge of $75.00(G) per hour, which will be evaluated by the Art Department at time of inspection.


Any product that has an imprint that goes to the edge requires a 1/4” bleed area outside the edge of the product. To avoid problems, ensure all text and graphics are within a 1/4” margin (inner safe area) from the edge of the product, as shifts in cutting location occur on printing.


We prefer vector art such as Adobe Illustrator files, as they provide superior reproduction quality and allows image to be resized without loss of detail. Please provide vector file artwork such as .ai, .eps, or .pdf. Corel (.cdr) files will not be accepted. Raster artwork should be at least 300dpi and full quality. We would prefer if you send in more than one format.


Minimum type size is 8pt for legibility. Any text below this size is at your own risk as we can not guarantee legibility. For best results, use a font with strokes that are not too bold or too thin. Any lines or strokes thinner than 1pt may fill in when printed.

If typesetting is required, a $15(G) charge will be added to the order. Please provide one or two preferred font styles, otherwise a default font style will be used.

Please convert all type to outlines/curves or else the proof will be delayed.


100% colour matching is NOT AVAILABLE, slight variation in colour will occur. Computer monitors never match the colours on the final product. For Econo air fresheners, we do not suggest using Econo with large unprinted (white) areas. By using darker colours and less white space the air freshener will have less noticeable scent staining. We reserve the right to change our stock colours at any time.


For the screen printed process, artwork must not have any gradients or half tones.

When printing in reverse print, we cannot guarantee full coverage, especially when there are thin lines or thin text being used. Screen printed inks tend to spread, filling in small spaces.Due to the uneven nature of the material used, orders are not guaranteed to have 100% coverage, especially when images are printed in reverse and/ or when there are thin lines or thin text being used. Screen printed inks tend to spread, filling in small spaces.

Maximum 3 colours screen printed on each side. Colours must be specified as either one of our stock inks, or a PMS match. All air fresheners and coasters are printed on off-white stock.


All air freshener paper is off-white and will be scented with yellow or light brown scent. Due to the nature of the scenting process, slight discolouration, staining, and bleeding may occur. All air fresheners are scent tested to avoid bleeding before bagging; scent availability may vary once testing is complete. Scent testing does not guarantee that the aforementioned problems will not occur.

We assume no responsibility / liability if products are used incorrectly.

Due to the nature of the scent spraying process, discolouration from the scent may appear on the off-white paper, especially in areas where no ink is present. Scent may not absorb into entire area of Air Freshener. We will not entertain complaints about staining or scent (as it is an individual preference). We use stock scents that comply with general fragrance industry standards.
All air freshener orders come with one copy of instructions per box.

· Cut a V-shaped opening that is about half an inch wide at the top of the bag

· Pull string out and hang product freely

· After one week, expose approximately half an inch of the air freshener. Continue to expose the air freshener an extra half inch each week until it is completely removed from the bag.


Artmetal offers our standard inks/colours at no extra charge for items that are screen printed. For specific colour matching of PMS/Pantone colours that are not listed as standard, an additional charge of $25(G) will apply. A spot color at varying tints is treated as separate colours as additional ink mixing is required. Please see our website for a list of our stock colours.


Minimum quantities are stated in the price list. For less than minimum inquiries, please contact our customer service department. A less than minimum quantity charge will apply.

Minimum order is $100 no exceptions.


We assume the right to substitute materials of equal or greater quality to enable us to till your order as soon as possible, unless otherwise specified at the time of order.


Due to uncontrollable circumstances, variances in colour, shade, texture, size and construction of finished goods cannot be guaranteed. Colours are not guaranteed to be colourfast. We reserve the right to change, correct, and improve goods without prior notice. No adjustments or claims will be processed regarding these variances.


All claims must be submitted in writing within 30 days of shipping date. No returned merchandise will be accepted without prior authorization issued by Artmetal. No credit or remake of goods will take place until original product is returned. We reserve the right to provide credit for future orders on any credit notes issued. Returns and replacement of goods are shipped at the customer’s expense.


If there is a problem with the product, e-mail with photos attached that show the issue. All problem orders will go through an internal investigation. No resolution will be given until the investigation is complete.


All cancelled orders must be accompanied by a formal letter and must be approved by Artmetal to be considered a valid cancellation. Phone cancellations are NOT acceptable. Custom orders cannot be cancelled after approval. Orders cancelled during production will be charged a $75(G) plus billed for any already completed work accordingly. Artmetal has sole discretion as to these cancellation charges. We reserve the right to refuse any order at any time for whatever reason we see fit.


We reserve the right to use any and all text, logos and graphics in our advertising unless otherwise specified in writing. The products you have seen in our advertising, website, catalogue, or other promotions, appear only to illustrate the shape and appearance in order to assist you in creating your own sale. We will not reproduce an item purchased previously by another company without written authorization from a current representative of the previous company.


We assume no responsibility for legal infringements and assume that the customer has secured the permission of the holder of any trademarks, copyrights or registration marks for products produced by our company. The customer agrees to assume any liability resulting from patent or copyright infringement.


The details laid out in these terms and conditions are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to discontinue any item without notice. We will not be held liable for any typographical errors and omissions.
